Winter
Warmer: Brugge & London Join us for a week-long Winter Warmer in Belgium and England as we seek out strong beers, cozy local pubs and beer cafes. The trip begins with three days in beery Brugge, followed by a night in England's quintessential countryside -- the Cotswolds, and ends with three nights in cosmopolitan London. We will travel by public means, private bus, and the Chunnel train as we explore classic breweries, eat great beer meals, visit countless bars, beer cafes and pubs, and enjoy three great locations in winter splendor. Belgian Beer Binge On this trip we'll dive deep into the heart of Belgian brewing and the Senne River Valley - the home of Lambic, as well as other excellent brewers. Meet blenders, brewers, and see working brewing museums where controlled as well as spontaneous fermentation and just the right conditions create the unique variety that is Belgian Beer. The trip starts in Brussels and ends with 3 nights in Gent, with excursions to the Nacht van Grote Dorst lambic festival and the incomparable Zythos Beer Festival to finish off a great trip. Beery Soul of Ireland: Country Pubs, Galway to Dublin The history, people and landscapes of Ireland, are rich and varied. And slowly, but surely, its deeply rooted pub and music culture is making a little room at the bar for good, local, craft beer. Join Dan and Deb Justesen from Vine Park Brewing Co for a thorough investigation of this beer trend. With stays in vibrant Galway, soulful scenic Doolin, medieval Kilkenny, and bustling Dublin, this trip offers a great variety of land and seascapes, archaeology, pub culture, architecture, folklore, history, and friendly Irish people, not to mention a good sampling of craft brews.
